Rename your camera. The announcements use whatever name you have the camera.

Thank you for taking the time to assist me. I did name the cameras at installation. The problem is that when I receive announcements in my home on my fire cube, Alexa Echo Dot and Echo Show, Alexa says the name of the camera that I named it but when I get the announcement on my cell it says, motion at your Floodlight camera, not the named location.

On the app, go to the camera in question; click on Device Settings, and then General Settings.You will then see the option for Rename Device. Did you check there?

In the Ring App. under "General Setting" it shows the name I gave the camera.

Hi @jlept. When you refer to the announcement on your phone, are you referring to a notification from the Ring app, or from the Alexa app? If you mean a notification from the Ring app, is this specifically a push notification or the audible app alert tone?
