How to STOP Alexa announcements of person detection using Ring camera and doorbell

We have a Ring "Elite" camera and a Ring Wired Doorbell AND MANY Echo devices of all types (dots, show, flex, ...) Months ago the echo devices started announcing "person detected at " WITHOUT ANY SETUP BY US. These announcements are made at any time of day and regardless of the alarm mode and are VERY ANNOYING.We have read endless "help" and "support" articles from both the "Ring" and "Alexa" app perspectives. Some of the instructions make no sense at all - such as go to the Cameras section (in Alexa) as there isn't any Cameras section. We've also watch several end-user videos on this problem and followed the stopes shown EXACTLY with no change at all - that is we keep getting announcements even at 2 in the morning when a stay cat strolls across the driveway.At this point "person detection" and "motion detections" are toggled off in the Alexa App AND "motion detection" is toggled on in the Ring App. Can someone explain PRECISELY and based on the latest version of the two Apps what configuration will allow us to capture motion event video AND received notifications of motion WITHOUT getting an announcement? We are at our wits end!!!
