Suggestion for a new Ring Mode.... Lightning Mode!  First, on a satelite image of your home, mark the rough location of your favorite Ring Camera / Doorbell.  When a storm coming in, one could place their camera in Lightning Mode, which then goes into a continuous "on" mode looking for a sudden flash of light.  Upon detecting such an event, the application would count the time until the thunder is heard.  Viola!  The application takes the base map and add to it the approximate location of the lightning strike based on the vector of the light source to the camera and the time for the sound to arrive took place given the position of the camera.  The application could even be tied into Alexa to give one a verbal report.  Taking it the next step, tie the results in with your Ring Neighbors who are also running Lightning Mode and get better triangulation; thus, better results!

I think it could be a fun little application.  Can you tell I am an engineering with lots of ideas?!
