Hi @user_af20eb. With Announcements enabled in the Alexa app, compatible Echo devices with a screen will show you a Live View from your Video Doorbell for 15 seconds after the doorbell is pressed. This does not apply to motion detection, which will only play an audible announcement that motion is detected. You can try setting up an Alexa Routine to have Live View activated when motion is detected.

UHaving identical problem, I used to have the video play when motion was detected but not now can't understand why unless it has something to do with installing Alexa +

I have a very similar problem. I have spent about 10 hours on this now. Calls to Ring support and Amazon. Every setting checked, uninstalled, reinstalled. Factory reset of Ring doorbell. Alexa app deleted. When motion is detected the Echo announces it but I just get a black screen with text saying motion detected but the camera will not come up - with or without a routine (I believe it should show 15secs automatically now) if I tell Alexa to show me the front door - she will! Just not when motion is detected which is the very feature that I wanted. If anyone has any suggestions of what might cause this … please get in touch. Or if you are having the same trouble could you post that so I can see if there are a lot of people with this problem. I can’t even buy new equipment because I feel there is a glitch in the settings and it would just be the same. I have 2 echo shows and both the same
