Alexa Doorbell Press Notiofiocation Not Working but Motion Alerts are working?

I am trying to get my ring “doorbell press” notification working on my Alexa Dot. I have added the Alexa app, linked accounts, checked all the stetting etc … The strange part is that the motion alerts work through Alexa but when you press the doorbell button no alert comes through. Very strange. Appreciate any thoughts on this

Hi @Mar143Agr. First, check the Event History in the Ring app to ensure the doorbell press is being registered. This will rule out that the issue is coming from the Doorbell or Ring app itself. Then, I’d recommend reviewing this Help Center article to ensure the announcements are set up correctly on the Alexa app.If the announcements still aren’t working, try the troubleshooting steps here.
