Ring should provide a separate setting to disable push notifications for changes between Home, Away and Disarmed, while leaving important notifications such as motion, person detection and doorbell alerts enabled.

At present, changing the mode in the Ring app generates a push notification confirming the change. If I have just selected Home, Away or Disarmed myself, this notification provides no useful information because the app has already confirmed the action.

These unnecessary notifications can become annoying when modes are changed regularly and contribute to notification fatigue. This is particularly undesirable for a security app, where users should be able to keep notifications focused on events that genuinely require their attention, such as motion, a person being detected or someone ringing the doorbell.

A simple “Mode Change Notifications” On/Off toggle would solve this without affecting any other alerts.

Ideally this setting should allow:

• Motion/person alerts: On
• Doorbell alerts: On
• Security/event alerts: On
• Home/Away/Disarmed mode-change notifications: Off

This would give users better control over notifications without reducing the effectiveness of Ring’s important security alerts.
