Change of mode alert no longer available between owner and shared user

troubleshooting

My wife has shared access to our Ring device. It used to be that one of us changed our Ring to away mode, the other person would receive a notification the mode had been changed. This was handy in case one of us forget to change mode. Does anyone know how to change this back or if this option been disabled?  I've checked all notifications options, the less than useful "trouble shooting" information and the even less useful bot with no luck.

thanks

Ben

I called customer support.  I'm sorry, but I don't think "John" really understood my question at all as his English was very poor, so I will repeat it very clearly:

When my wife or I (shared users) changed our ring from "home" to "away" mode, the other user received a notification which was very handy so we knew when we got home the ring was in away mode.  Vice versa if we didn't get a notification the other person hadn't set it to away mode about the time they left for work, we knew to change it to away mode.

"John" was not able to say where this setting had been moved to, or even clarify if it has been removed entirely as part of a Ring plan to extort more money from users who only want and need the basic plan.

Please find someone who can answer the question

Hi @user_89dd73. The Shared User should still be receiving notifications when the Mode is changed by either them or someone else. Since all we can offer is basic troubleshooting steps here in the Community, it is best you keep working with our support team to have this further investigated. You can also reach our support team on Facebook by sending a PM to @Ring.
