Echo device does its job when motion is detected, however it does it so briefly it's useless. If I'm not in the room looking at the device when the "motion is detected at your front door" announcement happens, the video display is missed completely. Yes, I can hear the announcement throughout my home, but the visual would allow me to know who or what is there before I decide to open my door. Pro features allows brief descriptions, but from what my trial is showing me these are mostly inaccurate.  Besides, telling me a person in a blue shirt is on my porch, isn't helpful. Anyway, if the video would replay 2 or 3 times, I would have time to enter the room or even simply turn and look at the device before the video disappears. And for those who don't want the repetition make this a feature where the user sets the number of times the video repeats. Your consideration would be greatly appreciated. I purchased an echo device for this very reason and it has been very disappointing.
