Starting to get notifications constantly since subs ended...

I have a front doorbell and a security camera at the back. I pay the subs on both. I recently purchased an indoor camera which is pointing out of a front window. There's not been many notifications on it for the last 4 weeks. Weirdly, as soon as the free month's trial has ended, the notifications are non-stop. Is this a ploy to encourage me to add the device to my subs and pay more? Has this happened to anyone else please? Thanks.

    Hi @user47401. Some features that impact motion detection require a compatible Ring Home subscription, such as Smart Alerts. If you had Smart Alerts enabled during your camera's trial, this likely would have reduced the amount of motion alerts you were receiving. Now that your trial has ended, you no longer have access to Smart Alerts on that device, and may notice an increase in motion alerts.

     

    If all three of these devices are installed at the same location, you might want to consider the Ring Home Standard plan. This will provide you with access to video recording and other features for all doorbells and cameras installed at the subscribed location. It is more cost-effective than purchasing multiple Basic subscriptions, and offers more features. You can compare the plans side-by-side here.
