I recently purchased 3 smoke/Co2 alarm listeners. I already have hard-wired smoke detectors installed. I simply wanted a way to be alerted if/when alarms are sounding when I'm away from home, mainly because I have pets at home. My building has a lot of false alarms, so it's nice to know if I'm coming home to traumatized pets. 

Recently, our alarm sounded for the first time, and to my horror, the Ring base station also started admitting a blaring loud alarm when the "listeners" were triggered. I'm very confused as to this functionality. The listeners are alerting to the presence of an alarm already, which is their whole purpose. So why would the Ring base station need to start emitting a SECOND alarm? This is actually making the problem significantly worse. I was able to silence the base station in the app, but it would then UN-silence itself repeatedly over the 20 minutes that my building's fire alarms were going off. So I was repeatedly silencing the base station as each of my 3 listeners was triggered over and over again. 

Is there a setting I'm missing to turn off the base station alarm when the listeners are triggered? I simply wanted an app alert that my alarms were going off. I didn't realize I'd be creating a whole second, very loud, very different sounding and impossible-to-silence alarm. Has anyone found a way to silence the base station alarm? I'm afraid I won't be able to use the listeners if it's going to create this big secondary problem everyone time my fire alarm sounds (which is already very loud, and definitely does not need any secondary help from my Ring base station...). I'm wondering if this is just a design oversight. Hoping if there isn't currently a setting to fix this, that there will be soon. I believe the product is very new for Ring.
