hoping someone can help me
i just purchase the basic ring doorbell battery operated
i want to have it open my gate via the app
is that possible?
do i need to buy equipment to do so or no?
also, i want to be able to talk to someone who pushes the doorbell button
do i need to buy equipment to do so or no?
just wanted to know how it works and my my options are
any guidance would be greatly appreciated

Hi @user_e34dcb. The Doorbell won't be able to open your gate, but we do have what's called an Access Controller Pro 2, which will allow you to use the Ring app to open your gate. We strongly suggest having this professionally installed. As for being able to talk out of your Doorbell, you don't need extra equipment. It's already a feature built into your Doorbell. You will see a microphone and speaker symbol for you to tap on when doing a Live View.
